Multi-functional | Creatrol 60GHz Eldercare Sensor Application Guide

By Creatrol Engineering March 4th, 2026 92 views

In an increasingly aging society, safeguarding the elderly at home has become a major challenge for countless families.
While many elderly care products exist, they often fall into a difficult contradiction!

  • Surveillance Cameras: Direct and visual, but cannot cover high-risk private areas like bathrooms, sacrificing personal privacy.
  • Wearable Devices: Precise positioning, but depend on 24/7 wearing and frequent charging; user compliance is extremely low.
  • Standard Sensors: Protect privacy but struggle to detect stationary bodies or specific postures, leading to frequent false alarms or missed detections.60GHz Solution
Is it impossible to achieve
"Privacy, Precision, and Convenience" all at once?

Breaking the Deadlock! Creatrol Sensor introduces an all-new solution: The Creatrol 60GHz Healthcare Sensor!

As a pioneer in human sensing technology, Creatrol Sensor took a forward-looking step by launching the R&D of 60GHz healthcare radar in 2019. After massive data collection and deep algorithmic iterations, the product achieved commercial deployment and partnership implementation in healthcare institutions by 2022. It is among the first batch of mature solutions in the industry to withstand real-world testing.

It requires no cameras and no wearable devices. It not only solves the privacy dilemma but also elevates perception from simple "presence/absence" to a multi-functional guardian capable of fall detection, vital sign monitoring, and posture recognition.

Creatrol: Industry Standard Drafter Driving 60GHz Standardization

In March 2025, the Ministry of Civil Affairs officially released the industry standard: "Monitoring and Positioning Assistive Devices — Millimeter Wave Radar Monitoring Alarm." Creatrol Smart Technology, as a primary drafting unit, deeply participated in its formulation.

This signifies that the application of 60GHz technology in healthcare has gained national-level recognition and standardization.

Industry Standard

60GHz & 4T4R Core Technology

How does it "understand posture without seeing images"? This is made possible by three core technologies:

60GHz High-Frequency Band
60GHz offers shorter wavelengths and wider signal bandwidth. Its resolution in distance and speed far exceeds 24GHz, allowing it to precisely analyze millimeter-level micro-motions like breathing and heartbeats.

60GHz Frequency

4T4R Antenna Array
Utilizing a 4-transmit 4-receive antenna array and MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) technology, it significantly expands the virtual aperture and enhances angular resolution. This allows the radar to construct 4D information: XYZ coordinates + Velocity.

4T4R Antenna

CTL Self-Developed Hawkeye Algorithm
Combining sparse point clouds with the CTL Hawkeye algorithm, the system performs clutter filtering, target clustering, and posture classification locally, accurately distinguishing human actions from interference.

Product Advantages

If ToF is a "precision flashlight", the Creatrol 60GHz Eldercare Radar is a "panoramic sonar".

  • All-in-One Sensing: A single device integrates fall detection, high-precision presence sensing, left/right bed exit judgment, and illuminance monitoring, meeting all safety and automation needs.
  • Zero-Compliance Protection: Unlike bracelets that require active wearing and charging, this is an "install and forget" solution. It solves the pain point of users forgetting to wear or charge devices, providing true 7×24h passive protection.
  • Local Data Processing: All raw data is processed locally. Only de-identified status results (e.g., "Occupied," "Fall Alarm") are output, eliminating privacy risks during network transmission.
  • Absolute Privacy: It does not collect optical images or record sound. It uses only point cloud data, making it suitable for bedrooms and bathrooms without the resistance associated with "being watched."

Core Functions: Three Dimensions of Protection

Accident Prevention

1. Accident Prevention

  • Fall Detection: The core pain point. Analyzes velocity and acceleration of posture changes to identify falls and trigger system alarms during the "golden hour" for rescue.
  • Posture Detection: Identifies standing, sitting, or lying down to determine room occupancy and abnormal situations (e.g., lying on the floor for an extended period).
Daily Life Monitoring

2. Daily Life Monitoring

  • Left/Right Bed Exit Detection: Identifies which side of the bed the user exits. Can trigger floor lights or alert caregivers if the user does not return within a set time.
  • Night Waking Analysis: Tracks the frequency and duration of night waking. Alerts are sent if frequency is abnormal or the user stays away from bed too long.
  • Presence Detection (Breathing-Level): Even if a person is perfectly still (reading or sleeping), the radar detects micro-vibrations from breathing to maintain occupancy status.
Management Assistance

3. Management Assistance

  • Trajectory Tracking: Records indoor movement paths to analyze activity habits and detect walking abnormalities (e.g., staggering or pacing).
  • Personnel Positioning: Outputs real-time X/Y/Z coordinates within a mapped room.
  • People Counting: Monitors the number of people in a zone—ideal for public eldercare areas to prevent crowding or for traffic analysis.

Application Scenarios

  • Home Scenarios (Bathrooms): Replaces cameras in slippery areas. Detects falls through steam and privacy-sensitive zones to trigger immediate alerts.
  • Elderly-Friendly Bedrooms/Wards: Monitors night movements. Lights turn on when feet hit the floor; alerts sent for "failed return to bed" or "long-term stillness."
  • Living Room for Elderly Living Alone: Uses trajectory tracking and posture detection to remotely notify family members if prolonged inactivity or abnormal posture is detected.
  • Nursing Homes/Rehab Centers: Real-time distribution and status of residents on a central dashboard, improving management efficiency with limited staff.
  • Smart Hotels: Provides unobtrusive monitoring to ensure guest safety and an intelligent living experience without compromising privacy.
  • Accessible Restrooms: Monitors posture and duration in public spaces (malls, airports). Triggers alarms if a fall occurs or if no micro-motion is detected for over 30 minutes.

Version Descriptions

Tuya Version

The sensor integrates into the global Tuya IoT ecosystem via ZigBee/WiFi/BLE. Users can effortlessly add devices, configure scenes, and manage operations remotely via the app, ensuring flexible deployment.

Beyond simple device linkage, the app provides real-time visibility into activity and bed occupancy (in-bed/out-of-bed) status. If a fall or prolonged inactivity is detected, alerts are pushed to the smartphone within milliseconds, breaking spatial limitations.

Seamless automation with a vast array of Tuya-compatible devices (e.g., lights, sockets, curtain motors) makes it ideal for smart homes, hotels, and smart commercial installations.
